Looking for some guidance about which classic books to discuss with your K-12 students? Download this excerpt from Reading Roadmaps, the CenterForLit scope & sequence manual. Reading Roadmaps contains a complete list of classic books for study at every grade level. Each grade level list begins with carefully selected picture book titles and then presents grade-level titles for a full year of instruction. Each title is annotated with brief identifications of its key structural elements for use with the Teaching the Classics method. Alternate titles are also suggested for each entry. In all, more than 200 recommended titles are included and arranged in scope & sequence format.
