Teacher Guide: Eeyore and the Wolery (from The House at Pooh Corner) by A.A. Milne

All of our favorite characters -- Pooh and Piglet, Rabbit and Eeyore, Kanga and Roo, and Christopher Robin -- gather to help move Owl, whose house has blown down in a storm. Along the way, Eeyore finds Owl a brand new house -- which, unfortunately, already belongs to Piglet! The resulting confusion forces several characters to face their own insecurities and gives them the opportunity to act nobly for the good of their friends, presenting themes of friendship and loyalty more beautifully than many a longer work. Even if kids are not old enough to read this story on their own, our discussion notes can facilitate a wonderful read-aloud session.
